Mr. Jason Grice, the founder of English Online Australia (EOA), was my IELTS teacher who had improved my English writing skills to a large extend. My first two attempts in IELTS were not satisfactory which both scored 6 in the writing tasks although I have persistently self-studied many relevant materials in the library and from the Internet. I kept searching for learning and practicing platform and I found EOA which shows a more structured approach of distance learning over the Internet. After taken the course by Jason, I eventually scored 7 in writing as well as the overall band in my 3rd attempt.

I am deeply impressed by Jason’s professionalism and passion in his career - Teaching. Though the communication platform between Jason and I is only on the Internet, by the EOA portal and by email, however it is as effective as we communicate in person. Jason’s feedbacks for the assignments and responses to my inquiries by email are always prompt and effective.

Jason demonstrated great enthusiasm in teaching. In correcting the given tasks, he does not only make corrections into the content, but also give reasons, provide alternatives and suggest the proper usages in the comment section. All these benefited me in extending the range of vocabulary, learning the variety of complex sentence structures, as well as strengthening my awareness of the coherence and cohesion in developing the content into paragraphs, which are in line with the marking scheme of IELTS writing tasks.

This course was particularly helpful for me as I was a full time employee and hence it was very difficult for me at that time to attend any class after work.

It was very convenient as I could just log into my account in my own time and go through the materials whenever I wanted to.

The provided materials were gathered carefully and summerised effectively aiming to help students to get a better understanding of what each task is about, by including some examples of how to start and finish each task.

The best part of the course was the writing and correction part, when I had a chance to do some writings for provided samples by Jason , and he would then provide me by the edited version including the reason behind each change within 24 hours.
